Why Capt. Larry Morroney?

When booking a trip with Captain Larry everything that you will need to have a safe, legal, and fun day of fishing is included. Everything from bait, tackle, ice, cooler, proper safety equipment, license, and all other necessary fish tags and permits are included. He will also ice down, fillet, and bag your catch for you at the end of the day. All you and your crew need to bring is a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, drinks, and something to eat. Captain Larry offers a few different trips but can also run custom trips for the experienced angler. Inshore trips being the most popular will consist of fishing for the three main inshore species in Florida which are the snook, redfish, and trout. There is a wide variety of other species to be caught during these trips as well such as snapper, flounder, mackerel, sheepshead, black drum, and plenty more. In the warmer months between April and august Captain Larry fishes the world famous tarpon migration and just so happens to do it in one of the best areas in the world to do it. Tampa Bay and the surrounding waters. These acrobatic trophies are a must for any angler and will give you the fight and memory of a lifetime. Captain Larry also specializes in shark fishing which will test your strength and stamina and is no problem since Tampa Bay is one of the most shark infested bays there is and has numerous species of sharks to offer such as bull sharks, blacktips, spinners, sandbars, and hammerheads to just name a few. Captain Larry runs a 20ft pathfinder bay boat which can get you into the skinny back waters with no problem equipped with a 6 inch jack plate and 10 inch draft as well as run you through the bay and off the gulf beaches providing a smooth and comfortable ride with it’s modified V-hull and trim tabs to distribute out the weight on the boat.


Captain Larry requires a $100 deposit per day to hold your trip. He has a 30 day cancelation period. It is 100% refundable if the captain and his charter decide the weather is too bad to fish.
