April Fishing Report 04/04/2018
April has kicked off with a hot spring bite. Inshore fishing has been on fire with a insane trout and Snook bite. Redfish are starting to make their spring appearance and we are picking a few off each trip lately. The number of big Trout right now is the best I’ve seen in the past couple years, making limits and the chances at that trophy fish very easy. Also there are a bunch of big Jacks swimming around right now and Mackerel on the deeper grass flats making for a fun bite.
Nearshore fishing has been hot with Kingfish, Mackerel, Sharks, Jacks, and plenty more. On the nicer days when the seas lay down the first run of Spring, Permit have been showing in the late morning-early afternoon and make for some great sight fishing.
This fishing will continue the rest of this month then we switch gears to full on tarpon fishing!!! Shaping up to be a great season so don’t miss out!!!
